Quick Cap
To say Utah dominated Georgia Tech in the 2005 Emerald Bowl would be an understatement. Utah held the lead for the entire game and never let up, shutting the Yellow Jackets out in the second half. Utah also exhausted Tech's vaunted D, racking up 550 total yards and giving the Jackets its worst bowl loss in program history. The Utes won 38-10.

CFN's Utah schedule outlook.
College Football News has a pretty interesting article up on Utah's schedule outlook. The article takes a quick look at the Utes schedule and breaks it down into three categories: Almost Certain Win, Likely Loss and Could go either way. They also predict Utah's record based on three factors.

They think the Utes' realistic record will be 10-2, while their best case record would have them finishing at 11-1. Barring total disaster, their worst case record would be 6-6. All in all, I agree with this article, though I generally think Utah will finish 9-3 (10-3 counting the bowl win), with two conference losses. Though I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they do in fact finish with only two losses.

They break down every other MWC team as well. Also, take note of the fact that Utah's almost certain win over UNLV is the only MWC game labeled as such. Which of course proves CFN understands Utah's total domination of the Rebels. But I must wonder why BYU isn't also highlighted as an almost certain win? I mean, 4 straight victories, 9 out of the last 13 games, you can't get any more automatic than that!

The only problem I have with this schedule is the short week leading up to the TCU game, but other than that I think this prediction is pretty accurate.
